More, little festivals roll


The December Season of music and dance festivals is getting packed a bit this week. Today, the action witnesses new hosts and new events at various city venues.
The Singaporeans are here. 
SIFAS ( Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society) is hosting its music fest at the Tattvaloka hall on Eldams Road, Alwarpet from this evening. It will have its own, best music students on stage besides featuring India’s best Carnatic musicians.
Chennai Fine Arts, known for curating interesting theme events also opens its fest today at the Arkay Centre, Luz. Ct - 0-8939664030
Guruvayur Dorai is also hosting a fest, at the Asthika Samajam, Venus Colony, Alwarpet. A short one that will then give place to Karaikudi Mani’s own short music fest at the venue later this week. Ct  of Guruvayur Dorai Trust - 0-9444455012.
And in the far corner, in R A Puram, inside the TN Music College campus, a trust in the name of violinist Kunnakudy Vaidyanathan is hosting a music fest in its hall here – quiet environment. Ct - 91-44-24612586
One in Chetput and another at the Meenakshi College for Women campus in Kodambakkam. Whew!
