Two veenas and steady rain create great mood

You couldn't have asked for a better experience. A wonderful concert in a wonderful hall and the steady fall of rain.
Both cascades were welcoming for anybody who enjoys a special experience.

Padmavathy Ananthagopalan and Jayanthi Kumaresh, with Ghatam Karthik and Ramesh on the mridangam played a good concert soon after the formal awards and launch event of Brahma Gana Sabha took place at the Sivagami Petachi Auditorium this evening.

The rain came down steadily much before the formal event started but as soon as it was done with, Only three dozen people sat back  for the concert and they were rewarded well, even as the pitter patter of the unrelenting rain escaped through the doors when they were opened.

It was a concert where all the artistes, from the 80years plus veena vidwan to the hyper Karthik seemed to enjoy the music and smiled all through. Said Jayanthi at the end of the show, "How can we not smile when we have Karthik on stage!".

The big made, long haired Karthik put his arms around the diminutive Padmavathy to acknowledge her skills of the evening.

This is a good hall for music concerts, both for artistes and for rasikas. Brahma Gana Sabha has month long concerts in which over 1000 artistes will perform.
